# Constellation artwork attribution

The Western constellation artwork in this directory is by Johan Meuris and is
from Stellarium's Western sky culture. The image files and anchored manifest
were sourced from `@found-in-space/stellarium-skycultures-western` version
`0.3.0`. The bundle contains 85 of the 88 IAU constellation figures; Puppis,
Serpens, and Vela have no bundled illustration. The illustrations are licensed
under the [Free Art License](https://artlibre.org/licence/lal/en/).
The constellation names and anchor data are from the same sky culture and are
licensed CC BY-SA.

The image files are kept in their original form. The viewer removes the black
background, applies a monochrome treatment, and controls opacity while drawing.
Anchor records identify three Hipparcos stars per illustration and include
ICRS unit vectors from J2016.0 for anchors absent from the loaded star catalogue.
